Community Office Hours allows Veterans to access the services our office provides at different locations throughout the county! No appointments needed at Community Office Hours. Community News & Event Announcements:

-La Crosse County and Western Technical College are sponsoring a free Veterans Dental Clinic in November 2026. Veterans must fill out an interest form to be selected for the clinic. The clinic will require two appointments: one appointment for the exam/treatment planning (November 6, 2026) and one appointment for the treatment date (November 9, 2026). Dental care is limited to procedures that can be performed and completed in a single visit. The clinic will not provide future care or appointments and there will be no sedation used for these appointments. Verification of honorable veteran status is required. Veterans may fill out the interest form at: https://forms.office.com/g/hqbQpbNNbL or scan the QR code on the flyer. Filling out the interest form does not guarantee an appointment. Veterans will be contacted by telephone after selection.  

-H.O.O.A.H. WI is hosting a Suicide Awareness Ruck in La Crosse on November 14, 2026, at the La Crosse Center. Registration is from 6-7:30am with a 9am step off. See flyer here:  H.O.O.A.H WI Flyer Get more information and register for this event at: https://hooahwi.org/

-Interested in getting a family membership at the YMCA? Sign up for Wellness Warriors (not an exercise class) at the Dahl Family YMCA! To sign up for this session, or to be on the waitlist for future sessions, fill out the online form at: Wellness Warriors | La Crosse Area Family YMCA

-The Tomah VA is starting a new group for Post 9/11 military to support readjustment and foster connections with fellow service members! The group alternates between Tomah VA Medical Center and La Crosse VA Clinic every Wednesday from 5-6pm. Please contact Tomah VA's Post 9/11 Military2VA staff with questions at 608-372-3971 or 800-872-8662 ext. 67709. - Hero's Cafe is held at the Village Festival Foods on the 2nd floor every Friday from 8am-10am. Veterans are free to attend and meet with other veterans over coffee and donuts!

-Meet with the Vietnam Era Veterans Group for coffee and conversation on Wednesdays from 10-11am at the Onalaska Legion.

-Meet with the Women Veterans Group for lunch (pay for your own) on the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Onalaska Legion from noon-1pm.

-Meet for the Coed Veterans Lunch (pay for your own) on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Onalaska Legion from noon-1pm.
