Our office will have limited staff available the week of April 15-19 as we will be attending the Spring CVSO conference! Please be aware that walk-ins and phone calls may require longer wait times. Responses will be made the following week of April 22-26.

Community News:

  • Military Women's History Month Celebration: "Served Like a Girl" movie screening on Wednesday, March 27th at the Nola Starling Recital Hall at Viterbo University. There will be a 5pm Social with the movie beginning at 5:50pm-7:30pm. At 7:30pm there will be a community discussion with Veteran women's healthcare provided by the Tomah VA Women's Health Integrative Medicine Care Team.   • The Commonweal Theatre Company presents, Ugly Lies the Bone by Lindsey Ferrentino. This play is a drama of hope and healing for an army veteran. This play will be performing from April 6- July 6, 2024 at 208 Parkway Ave N, Lanesboro, MN. There is a Blue Star discount of $10 off on all performances for military. Sunday, May 5th matinee is completely free to anyone who has served/is serving in any branch of the military and their families.   • The Holmen Community Center Wellness Fair will be held on April 9th from 10am-3pm. Come visit us at this event and explore other resources within our community!
  • 5th Annual Tomah VA Caregiver Summit on Tuesday, April 23rd from 10am-11:30 with Resource Fair to follow. Event held at the Tomah VA Medical Center, 500 East Veterans Street, Tomah, WI 54660 - Building 455, Veterans Hall. RSVP required to: [email protected]
  • Rock the Vets is on September 1st at the American Legion Post 417. This event will fundraise to support local veterans. There will be 8 hours of music, food and beverage. More details to follow!
  • Wisconsin offers Veterans Family Camp weekends every fall and sprint for military service veterans and their families. The camp is located outside the Wisconsin Dells area. 2024 spring session dates are April 26-28, 2024. Registration or for more information: www.EastersealsWisconsin.com or call 608-254-2502 ext 190.
  • Get your FREE National Parks & Federal Recreation Lands Passes for veterans and gold start family members. For more information visit USGS pass website: https://store.usgs.gov/recreational-passes or please call the Refugee Visitor Center (608) 779-2399.
  • Patriot K9s of Wisconsin needs Veterans! There are service dogs available now! Veterans suffering from PTSI, TBI, or MST win the war on suicide through the help of a trauma recovery service dog. Contact Patriot K9s at 715-298-1373 or go to their website at www.patriot k9s.org.
