Asbestos
Asbestos was a popular, but potentially dangerous material, used in insulation and fire prevention material for homes and other buildings built before the 1980s. Businesses must fill out an Asbestos Waste Shipment Record before bringing in Friable or Non-friable Asbestos. A Special Waste Application is not required for Asbestos materials (refer to the chart below for Special Waste materials). The disposal rate is $176.00/ton. A vehicle permit is required to dispose of this material (see Pricing for permit fees).

| Contaminated Soil | Soil that’s contaminated by chemicals or through industrial processes, including petroleum impacted soils. |
| Dredge Materials | Sediment excavated or otherwise removed from the bottoms of the navigable waters |
| Foundry sands | Foundry sands that have already been used for industrial casting projects are no longer suitable for more casting, but can be recycled and used for other things |
| Industrial Sludges | Sludges from Wastewater treatment or industrial processes |
| Off-Specification Food Wastes | Food or food by-products that are not suitable for consumer use |
| Sandblasting Sands | Sands from painted and unpainted projects |
| Street Sweepings | Materials such as sand, salt, leaves and debris removed from city streets, parking lots and sidewalks |
