When seconds matter, call or text 9‑1‑1. La Crosse County Public Safety Communications answers more than 300 calls and texts every day to dispatch police, fire and emergency medical services. Our professional telecommunicators work around the clock, 365 days a year, to serve residents and visitors.

Modern 9‑1‑1 Services

Call or Text 9‑1‑1: If you cannot safely speak, text messages to 9‑1‑1 are now supported.
Accessible Communications: Our center accepts TTY/TDD and real‑time‑text calls and has access to language interpreters for more than 200 languages.
Know Your Location: Provide the address or landmark so responders can find you quickly.
