The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of La Crosse County made several changes in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) however, we continue to serve older adults and people with disabilities, as well as the families, friends and caregivers who work with and care for them. Changes include:

  • While our lobby is closed for the time being, ADRC staff continue to be available by phone Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Staff are ready to assist with information, assistance and counseling related to long-term care and other programs and services.
  • Transportation services are available but limited to essential rides only (to/from medical appointments and food/grocery store). No co-pays will be charged until further notice.
  • La Crosse County Senior Nutrition Program congregate meal sites are closed but home delivered meals are available Monday through Friday to individuals 60 years of age or older experiencing food insecurity. Additionally, beginning May 4, 2020, the ADRC of La Crosse County will offer weekly "grab and go" frozen meals from designated locations throughout La Crosse County. ADRC staff will also be onsite to assist with any questions/needs. To learn more, call us at 608-785-5700.

Experience what it may be like to live with dementia. In living “in their shoes” we create compassion, understanding and can make changes to enhance the quality of life for our community members living with dementia. The ADRC of La Crosse County and Dementia Friendly Community Coalition have partnered to bring this dementia awareness simulation to the community in 2020!
