MENTAL HEALTH AND HOMELESSNESS COALITION

PURPOSE

To increase mental health services to the homeless population in La Crosse County

GOALS

Short-term

1. Identify gaps and barriers in accessing service for this population

2. Identify community programs that are currently addressing these issues

Long-term

1. Develop an evidence-based program to increase mental health services for the homeless population

2. Strengthen the network of coalition members so that all members are active supporters of the work of the coalition

3. Use the Coalition as a forum to increase public awareness of the need for mental health care in homeless populations

4. Identify and secure funding to support the program

5. Implement the program
