The Environmental Health Division issues permits and inspects tattooing and
body piercing establishments in La Crosse County.
Participants in the Shades of Blue Tattoo Show, held annually at the La
Crosse Center, are inspected and must meet the same requirements.
The requirements for Tattooists, Body Piercers and their establishments are
outlined in Wisconsin Administrative Code, Chapter HFS 173.
