The Environmental Health Division staff checks the water quality in each indoors public pool in La Crosse County at least once per month. The concentration of the disinfectant, the pH of the water, and the water temperature are measured. A water sample is collected from each pool to be analyzed for several types of bacteria. Each pool operator is responsible for maintaining the pool and its surroundings in a safe manner.  Click HERE to find the Monthly Pool Report Forms.  These forms must be submitted to the La Crosse County Health Department at the end of each month.

Outdoor pools are checked at least twice per month during their operating season.

Additionally each pool facility is inspected annually.
