County Surveyor
We are available to respond to land surveying or land ownership questions during normal business hours at 608-785-9626. We are still reviewing Certified Survey Maps (CSM) prior to those maps being recorded in the Register of Deeds Office. If you have a CSM that has been reviewed and is ready to be recorded, please call 608-785-9626 to schedule an appointment to drop off the original map along with necessary fees or to make arrangements to mail the map with necessary fees.

The Register of Deeds office is still working to process real estate documents and vital records requests.

LAW ENFORCEMENT CENTER

Child Support Agency
With the desire to limit possible spread or exposure to COVID-19 we are taking NO WALK INS until further notice.  If you have a question about your case, please call 414-615-2594.

You can mail documents to: La Crosse County Child Support Agency, Law Enforcement Center, 333 Vine Street, Room 1701 La Crosse, WI, 54601 or fax to 608-785-5760. You can also drop off documents, cash or check payments in our drop box located at 212 N. 6th street, La Crosse, Wisconsin 54601.

If you need to make a payment, it should be in the form of a check, cashier's check or money order and mailed to WISCTF, Box 74200, Milwaukee, WI 53274-0200.  Please put your PIN # on your check to ensure proper credit. You can also pay online at www.govpaynow.com.

Clerk of Courts
In an effort to protect the public, attorneys, court staff, and judges from the health risk associated with COVID-19, the Wisconsin Courts have issued orders temporarily suspending in-person proceedings statewide, with certain limited exceptions.  If you have an upcoming court hearing and have not received information as to how you should appear, please contact the Clerk of Courts office at 608-785-9590 or you can email LaCrosse.Clerk@WIcourts.gov   The Clerk of Courts staff is in the office to answer your questions. However, the office is not open to take any kind of payments.

Mediation & Family Court Services

Services are being provided remotely when possible.  We are currently providing mediation services via telephone conference.  Upon receiving a mediation referral, we will contact clients to make arrangements. Completion of custody assessments will be delayed as only those tasks not requiring in-person contact are being provided. No Step-parent Adoption Screenings are being provided at this time.
