The meeting was called to order at 9:05a.m. Introductions were made.
Motion by Doug Mormann/Sharon Nelson to approve the meeting minutes of June 4, 2008. MOTION passed unanimously.
Motion by Doug Mormann/Jennifer Rombalski to nominate and elect Dr. James Glasser for Consortium Governing Board Representative for 2008. MOTION passed unanimously.
The final allocation spreadsheet was provided breaking down the Local Public Health funding at 75% and Consortium at 25%. Al provided a 2009 Consortium budget totaling $121,800. This budget would include the preparedness specialist and epidemiologist positions but not the health educator and coordinator positions. Agencies can contract for Brenda’s health education services. Using the 75/25 formula the Consortium budget would have a shortfall of $44,518. We do not know what the 2009 objectives are at this time. Al was asked to re-work the numbers based on population and presented the information later in the meeting. Motion by Jennifer Rombalski/Sharon Nelson to move forward with the $121,800 budget to continue Consortium. MOTION passed unanimously. Member agency contribution amount to the Consortium will be discussed and firmed up via e-mail communications. Consortium transition into the Western Region footprint will be a monthly agenda item. Northwoods will merge with Western Region during 2008.
Brenda provided education on preparedness, the public health emergency plan, strategic national stockpile, incident command system and more in preparation for the September 11, 2008 Tabletop Exercise.
Next meeting date is August 6, 2008. Motion by Christe Berth/Sharon Nelson to adjourn. MOTION passed unanimously.
