CLOSED SESSION (8:15 a.m.)

MOTION by Hammes/Johnson to enter into closed session pursuant to s. 19.85(1)(c), Wis. Stats., to consider compensation or performance evaluation data of a public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, to wit:  County Administrator’s Employment Contract.  Motion carried unanimously.

OPEN SESSION (8:50 a.m.)

MOTION by Johnson/Hammes to reconvene to open session.  Motion carried unanimously.

REPORTED CLOSED SESSION ACTION

MOTION by Hammes/Johnson to recommend approval of changes to County Administrator’s contract for the next four (4) years:

1. Increase required notice to sixty (60) days if County Administrator resigns voluntarily.
2. Provide additional seven (7) days of vacation per year.
3. Establish the County Administrator’s pay at $138,648, which shall be constituted as B-30 (2007 rate), Step 1 on the County Pay Plan.
4. Provide a retention award in final two years, similar to Gerald Seubert, equal to $7,000 in 2010 and $8,000 in 2011, to be paid quarterly.  (County may deduct the amount paid that year if employee voluntarily leaves employment.)

Motion carried unanimously.

MOTION by Hammes/Johnson to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.  The meeting adjourned at 8:51 a.m.
