COUNTY BOARD PLANNING MEETING

MONDAY, AUGUST 6, 2007

The La Crosse County Board of Supervisors Planning Meeting was held on August 6, 2007 in the Administrative Center, Room B410. Chair Doyle called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The County Clerk, Marion I. Naegle, took attendance. All supervisors were present except as noted:

County Board Chair Steve Doyle

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

There was no Proclamation.
Legislative Committee – although supervisors felt this was an important committee at the County Board Retreat, only one supervisor volunteered to serve on the committee. Doyle asked for more volunteers.
Jail issues – Staff, the consultants and the architects have put in a lot of time trying to get the 43 million dollar figure to build the LEC Addition down to a more acceptable number. Tuesday is the next LEC Addition Committee meeting and everyone is welcome to attend.

Reaction to Carey Report

Discussion ensued on the Carey Report. Supervisors asked staff, the architects and construction manager for clarification on several areas of the report. They also spoke to specific ideas, some that they feel will work and some that may not work.
