LA CROSSE COUNTY WILDLIFE ABATEMENT/DAMAGE COMMITTEE

CALl to Order

The meeting was called to order at 8:35.m. by Francis Brown and noted the meeting was properly posted.

Approval of Minutes

MOTION by Pfaff/Tyler to approve the minutes of October 16^th, 2006.  Motion carried unanimously. 

Shooting Permits:

Everyone made their quota.  Discussion of Act 82 participation was held.

2006 Claims Approval:

Motion by Pfaff/Tyler to approve the $1,205.56 for the 2006 WDACP Claims.  Motion Carried.  (See attachment for details)

2006 Deer Donation Program:

DeWayne Snobl reported that donation went well and was well received.  Should be a go for 2007.  (See attachment)

Update USDA-AHPIS: by DeWayne Snobl

Avian influenza testing is completed in the county. 

Update WDNR:  by Ron Lichtie

476 heads for CWD were tested for the county.  Still waiting for all the final results.  Goose Island Deer hunt was discussed.  Deer health was assessed on those shot during the hunt.  The result of the assessment was very under weight deer.  Overall the hunt was considered successful.

Future Agenda

The next planned meeting will be held on: August 20^th, 2007, starting at 8:30 a.m. in Room3200 of the Administrative Building in La Crosse.

MOTION by Tyler/Pfaff to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried unanimously.  The meeting adjourned at 9:20a.m.
