Terry Hanson, Committee Chair, called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m.
Brian reviewed the 14 proposed Policy Issues of Regional Interest for 2007. These issues include HHM, shingle recycling, tire recycling, burn barrels, reuse of materials, construction & demolition waste recycling, composting, annual meeting, service consistency in residential collection, education, cooperation/collaboration of regional staff, solid waste planning, waste designation, and finance.
Brian will provide a worksheet to each Policy Board member to rate their level of interest for each issue. The outcome of this worksheet will be discussed at the next Policy Board meeting. Brian will also solicit input from the sub committee for the agenda of the next Solid Waste Policy Board meeting.
MOTION by Gilman/Freedland to adjourn the meeting. Motion Carried Unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
