The Mobile
Crisis Program
provides crisis mental health services to consumers 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week. A Mobile Crisis Responder can be accessed through
Clinical Services during business hours (785-6101) or by calling 784-HELP
after hours and weekends. Some of these services include telephone
counseling, mobile crisis intervention, follow up counseling with linkage to
resources, crisis stabilization at various locations and hospitalization.
The program also provides on call services for the Community Support
Program (CSP) and Care Management Organization (CMO) consumers. This change
has reduced a duplication of services provided by various sections of the
department.
Follow up counseling and linkage to resources
is provided in a consistent and timely manner, which reduces the likelihood
of future crisis situations. A continuum of stabilization options are
developed for both adults and children to provide support and services in
the community whenever possible.
