FARMERS MARKET RULES

1.        Only those items that a farmer actually produces on property owned or rented by him/her may be sold.

2.        Items which can be eaten without peeling/peels such as plums, cherries, apples, pears, peaches, carrots, radishes, lettuce, tomatoes, and the like, must be protected from dust and vermin.

3.        Food items such, as melons, which can only be eaten after peeling, require no protective covering.  The slicing or repackaging of any food product is not permitted.  Examples include watermelons, fruits, vegetables, etc.

4.        All scales are subject to the requirements of the applicable provisions of city code.

5.        Potentially hazardous foods such as meat, eggs, poultry, fish, dairy products or prepared foods such as baked goods, candy and the like may not be sold with a Farmers Market Permit.

6.        Sale of Honey, Maple Syrup, and Sorghum.  These products must be sold in a clean, approved container, which has not been previously used.  These products must be labeled with the following:

                                Name of product

                                Name and address of producer

                                Net content (Weight)

7.        Honey must show its grade such as ungraded, etc. All containers must be either honey jars or containers, which have never been previously used.  Empty peanut butter jars, plastic containers, etc. will not be permitted for use at the Farmers Market.

8.        PERMIT MUST BE  POSTED IMMEDIATELY UPON SET UP.  PRICE OF EACH ITEM MUST BE DISPLAYED.

                           FLEA MARKET PERMITS

 

1.       Only homemade items may be sold.

2.       Follow rules and regulations of Farmers Market.
