Those words can be heard nearly 100 times
each day at the La Crosse County Public Safety Communications Center.
Since La Crosse County implemented the 9-1-1 service in 1983, our agency
has answered close to a half-million 9-1-1 calls.
Answering those emergency calls is only one of the vital services we
provide and accounts for less than 10% of our incoming phone call
totals. Our center also answers non-emergency calls as well as
providing dispatch and other support services for pre-hospital
medical, fire and law enforcement agencies in La Crosse County. Our
team of professional telecommunicators is ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week to
assist the citizens and visitors of La Crosse County when there is a
need for public safety services.
