The nature of modern
death investigation becomes more complex and scientifically based
each day, making up-to-date procedural knowledge in the field
vitally important.
It is through
continued education and training that the Medical Examiner will gain
the respect and the credibility required in death investigations.
The Medical Examiner
must constantly strive to conduct honest and impartial, independent
investigations into the manner and the cause of death.
It is of the utmost
importance to the individual, to society, to truth, justice, and
safety that we find the facts concerning death.
We must continue to
educate ourselves to the advancement of forensic science and
investigation techniques, for we are the seekers of the truth and
the guardians of the deceased.
