Maintenance is done through our outlying shops encompassing snow plowing;
salting; grading shoulders; mowing; repairing, sealing, sweeping, and paving roads and
many other duties that keep La Crosse County highways clean and safe.
Driveway permits are required by anyone wishing to construct a driveway leading
to their property. The Highway Department reserves the right to require culverts or make
other conditions as deemed appropriate.
Utility permits must be obtained prior to installing any poles or wiring on County
Highway right-of-way.
Adopt-a-Highway permits can be obtained by any group or organization that wish to
provide roadside cleanup on County Highways.
